Sprinkley Dress

This is Caytlynne's sprinkley dress that she just had to have. She already had one Christmas dress but Daddy and I could not tell her no when we saw how excited she was about it. She felt pretty special wearing it to church and everybody told her how pretty she was.

New Keeton Family Tradition

Elizabeth came to visit during her winter break from Marshall. The Friday before she left we had a mini Christmas celebration. E-beth, Axel, and Caytlynne opened their gifts from Thom and I. E-beth got clothes, CD, and gift cards. All three kids got new Christmas PJs and a game to play. Axel got HyperSlide, Caytlynne got Hullabloo, and Elizabeth got Catch Phrase. After they were done opening their gifts the kids got in their new PJs. While we played their new games we had hot chocolate, popcorn and ice cream. I think we will continue the tradition for years to come.

Winter Wonderland

Axel belongs to the DI (Decision and Imagination) progam at school. He goes every other Thursday after school. Each time they meet they are given a task to complete that uses their problem solving skills. Their last project before winter break was to build a Winter Wonderland for the school using the supplies they were given.

"Y is for you..."

Caytlynne had her Christmas program at school. They did reinactment of the Christmas Story, sang songs, and did a Christmas ABC poem. It was very entertaining. Caytlynne was bummed that she could not be an angel in the play but not for very long. Once we found her a pretty red dress she was over it. She sang her Christmas song to me everyday in the car. It was "Happy Birthday Jesus." Almost a month has gone by and she is still singing it...the same verse over and over. She was the letter Y in the poem and her line was "Y is for you, the reason he came to stay." She got to stand by her best friend C.J. so she was happy. It is to bad that my pictures did not turn out well but the video is priceless.

Santa Comes to Town

You know that you have been a good kid when Santa makes a special trip to come see you at your house. The kids were in awe when Santa came walking through our door. I was surprised that Caytlynne was not willing to sit on his lap for that is all she could talk about. She wanted to go see Santa at the mall so that she could tell him what she wanted. Once again another year goes by that I couldn't get her to do. She didn't have a problem telling him what she wanted as her sister Elizabeth held her. She wanted a Snow White dress and a Strawberry Shortcake. Before Santa left she was wanting a pony too. Thanks Santa! Axel has never had a problem with Santa. In fact, I think this may be the last year that Santa will be real to him. But as I have said, you have to believe to recieve. Axel has never given up on his hope for a dirt bike. If Dad could have his way he would have one, it is dear old Mom that can't seem to give into it. He also wanted a Play Station. Guess they will have to see what old Santa has to bring.
