Caytlynne and George

Caytlynne and George are good buddies. George is always looking out for Caytlynne. When George rides in our car with Caytlynne he always helps Caytlynne with her seat belt. George is a huge baseball fan. Whenever he is allowed to get a new toy he gets something that has to do with baseball. To give you an indication of how much George likes Caytlynne he let her have one of his baseball gloves. No matter how much I insisted that she had one and he didn't have to do that he would not take "no" for an answer. We joke with our friends that someday we may be related and George's dad said, "that's okay because you'll be paying for the wedding!"

Halloween

I thought that I would share the pictures from Halloween. It was another warm night to go trick-or-treating. We went with some friends and the kids had a great time. The kids were finally able to wear their costumes. Caytlynne had talked about being Cinderella for months. We even had to go buy the glass slippers so that the costume was complete. Axel is really into Star Wars and wanted to be a Jedi. Who knew that Star Wars would be so popular after all of these years. All of the kids came home with bags full of candy. After trick-or-treating, we came home to have chili, beer bread, and Thom's corn bread.

Caytlynne's Field Trip

Caytlynne and her class went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch. I don't know if Caytlynne was more excited about going on the field trip or getting to ride the bus. The best part of going to school for Caytlynne is that her BFF (best friend forever) is in her class. It is a love hate relationship. One minute they love each other, the next minute they don't. I am guessing that is common for little girls. The kids had a great time. They were able to pick a pumpkin, go through a maze, take a hayride, feed the goats, and have a snack. Caytlynne had a great time.

Pumpkin Patch

On October 21, we took the kids to the pumpkin patch. It has always been a family tradition of ours since we lived near Spokane. Of course nothing will ever beat the Spokane pumpkin patches. As you can probably tell it was a beautiful day for picking pumkins. Thom and I could not believe that we were wearing shorts and picking pumkins. While we were there we went through the corn maze and took a hayride. It was a good day! Axel and Caytlynne taking a break I can't get this Daddy... but I can get this one! Ugghh! At this point we were all lost!

CCC Family Fun Day

On September 29 the church had their annual Family Fun Day. As usual I was stressed that it was not going to be successful but it was perfect. The weather was perfect with a nice breeze blowing all day. The day started off with lots of food including hamburgers and hot dogs that the church provided. If there is one thing this church can do that is feed you. Then Don and Autumn put all kinds of events together for the kids. It included motorcycle rides, pony rides, fire trucks, ambulances, hayride, and the all time favorite bump-n-jump. The adults sat around and visited or played volleyball. Then the kids were able to play their final t-ball game and received trophies for the efforts. They loved it! We wrapped up our day with a two hour concert given by One Voice. It was a wonderful day, I had nothing to stress about. On to the next event to plan. Axel riding a hog! Heaven help me if she becomes a biker babe! This is more like it. I just want to look good, I don't really want to play! Now I can say I knew George when he was just this high.
