Caytlynne's Awards

At the end of the school year Caytlynne received an award for listening. I don't know why, but I became emotional at the end. I couldn't believe the school year was over and we would be saying good-bye to her teachers. This last school year we were blessed with great teachers for both of our kids. I pray that we will be so lucky this fall.

Stay Beautiful

Caytlynne had her dance recital over memorial day weekend. She was so excited about her performance. She loves to dance to any kind of music. The little girls were so cute and as you could tell, they were all over the stage. They danced to "Stay Beautiful." In a couple of weeks we will be signing her up again for ballet and tap. She also wants to try out gymnastics. Who knows, maybe we will have a 6'7" ballet dancer.

Crabbing

Axel went with his class to Crisfield and went crabbing. I am always amazed by what Axel remembers and learns. He came home and told us all about it. Plus, he brought home something to show for all of his efforts.

The Dairy Farm

Caytlynne went to the Dairy Farm with her class back in May. They had a great time looking at the spring animals. In the first picture Caytlynne was petting a calf that was only two days old. The second one she was holding a baby chick. Now she wants a baby chick so that it will follow her all around. She would name it Chicken Little. (Thanks Grandma) The farm also had all kinds of different things for the kids to do. The third picture is of Caytlynne learning how to milk a cow. The last picture is Caytlynne playing "find the needle in the haystack." She had a great time and still talks about it.

Thom's Birthday

For Thom's birthday this year we went golfing. I pulled Axel out of school at lunch and we all went as a family to the Elks. We had a great time. I think that this will become a regular family outting. After golfing we took Axel to baseball practice and then we came home and had Thom's favorite dinner...meat loaf, mashed potatoes, and spinach. We had a yellow cake with chocolate frosting, another favorite of Thom's.
